The following equipment is needed to perform the test:

  • Pipettes and pipette tips of appropriate sizes – the use of multichannel pipettes is encouraged to reduce the time needed to run the test
  • Items for preparing reagents, such as graduated cylinders, mixing containers, and tubes
  • Microplates or tubes for performing dilutions of serum samples before addition to the assay
  • Plate Magnetic stirrer and Vortexer
  • Deionized purified water
  • Microplate reader equipped to measure at 450 nm
  • Water bath for heat-inactivating virus potentially present in samples (optional)
